First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spectra.
Order Management Specialist
There were 2-3 people from the department interviewing. If an agency was involved first, and it went well, they would then bring in the right person to hire. It wasn't too difficult. Just be ready for some behavioral questions about how you solved problems.
- Tell me about a time you resolved a conflict with a coworker.
Building Operator
It was an informal interview but still really tough. They didn't ask the usual questions but really dug into my background to see if I'd be a good fit for the company. It was a panel interview with several managers, which was pretty intimidating.
- What's motivating your decision to leave your current role?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I applied for a Digital Marketing Specialist role after initially applying for a different position through an employee referral. My friend gave my resume to HR, and after two weeks, I heard back from her. She let me know about the Digital Marketing Specialist opening and asked me to apply, which I did online and confirmed via email. She then called me for a phone interview the next day. After that, I was invited for a two-hour in-person interview with three people: the director of digital marketing, a digital graphic designer, and the VP of digital marketing. The director of digital marketing assessed my attention to detail by having me review two email templates he created and identify errors. I then interviewed with the graphic designer, followed by the VP. I sent a thank you email the day after. Three weeks later, I followed up with the director via email. He mentioned that he would contact those moving to the second round the following week. I reached out again the next week, and two days later, he informed me I wasn't selected. It was a good experience, and I believe it's a great company, though I was disappointed not to get the position. I trust their decision.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What information do you have about our company?
- Can you identify the errors in these two email templates?
Usher
It was a super quick phone interview, like 10 minutes max. They mainly asked about when I could start and what skills I have, and then they offered me the job right then and there.
- What is your availability?
- When can you start?
- How well do you work with others?
