First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Specialized Security Services.
Senior Assessor
So the interview process was pretty simple. First, I had a 30-minute phone screening with HR. After that, I went into a panel interview with the upper management of the team, which was about 45 minutes long.
- What makes you want to work at Specialized Security Services?
Accounting Controller
Interviewing with Specialized Security Services was the most natural and relaxed interview I have experienced. The questions were thoughtful and intuitive. Even if I was not offered the position, I would have recommended S3 to my closest friends.
- How would you manage disagreements with vendors or customers?
- Describe your experience with reporting and processing reports for CPAs and other stakeholders.
- How proficient are you with Excel?
Business Development Manager
The reply was expedient, positive, and polite. After an initial phone screening about basic requirements like salary expectations, the first interview was set up very quickly. Unlike many companies, S3 actually reviewed my resume in advance and came prepared with impressively targeted questions. The dialog throughout the interview was candid, courteous, and insightful. Next steps were confirmed, and I am still in the midst of the interview process. I have been pleasantly surprised and impressed every step of the way.
- I chose the interview as "difficult" ONLY because S3 actually took the time to analyze who I am, what I do and came prepared to further investigate how I can bring value to the Company as well as enriching my career goals.
- Sooo...that's "difficult" in a GOOD WAY.
- To me, an "easy" interview conveys a disinterested and/or unprepared potential employer.
Executive Assistant
I spoke with the recruiter on the phone first, then they had me come in for an in-person meeting with the recruiter, the CEO, and some other admin staff. It was all wrapped up in under two weeks from when I first heard from them to when I got the offer. I was a bit worried because of some bad reviews I saw online, but it was actually a great experience. Everyone was super nice and genuinely wanted to know about my career goals and if I'd be a good fit.
- Can you share something you enjoyed about your last role and something you didn't?
- What management approach do you find most effective for your work?
- What kind of management style do you work best under?
