First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Special Technical Services.
Junior Engineer
I applied through a consultancy and then walked in for the interview. The DGM interviewed me. After filling out an application, I went through the interview. I was then asked back for a second round, which was a salary negotiation. We finalized the salary after about 10 minutes of discussion. I was then asked to submit my passport and other details for visa processing. The whole process took exactly 60 days.

Instrument Supervisor
I had a personal interview at the head office in Muscat. After about a week, they sent me an offer letter. I joined the company three months later because I had a three-month notice period with my previous employer, and my start date with STS was also set for three months out.
- Can you describe the process for performing an online system cutover while the plant is operational?
Estimation Manager
First, I had an initial call with HR. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview. It was a 50-minute one-on-one session. The interview covered 50% technical questions, 35% general questions, and 15% personal HR questions. The company didn't cover travel costs.
