First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SPCA of Texas.
Donor Database Coordinator
The interview process was straightforward and they asked good questions that made sense. They clearly explained their expectations. The interview was brief and to the point.
- Could you tell me about your accounting background?
- How would you assess your skills in accounting?
Animal Care Technician
I sent in my application online and HR got back to me a few days later. I had a quick chat with HR over the phone where they asked me 5 simple questions. Then I was told I had an in-person interview with the supervisor in two days. The interview was pretty low-key and relaxed; the supervisor told me about the job and training, asked about my background and what I wanted to achieve, and then asked if I had any questions. I got the job offer by the middle of the next week.
- What motivates you to work for the SPCA of Texas?
Veterinary Technician
The interview process felt long and slow. I had to be the one to reach out to HR to get any updates, otherwise, I wouldn't have known what was going on. When I did contact them, they didn't even know where the hiring manager was in the process, which I thought was strange since HR usually handles that.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment at this organization?
Manager
It was a really basic interview, not really based on the job at all, which I found surprising. It was all "Behavioral Interview" questions. I really thought they would ask more questions based on the role.
- Could you share an instance where you applied logic to resolve a problem?
- Describe a time you accomplished a goal and how you went about achieving it.
