The interviewer provided a lot of information about the job and himself, and we had a good chat about the position and my experience. The interview was of average length and the questions were too. Scheduling was easy because Spartan uses an interview scheduling app. It was a pleasant interview overall, with nothing unusual.

I met with the Head of Production and some other production people. The conversation was pretty relaxed, and they asked some really thoughtful questions. It was a good mix of me finding out about the company and them getting to know me. We talked about my experience as a Race Director and my qualifications for the job.

Got contacted on LinkedIn, had an initial chat with HR, then a 30-min call with the VP of Brand Marketing. After that, they set up a 2.5-hour in-person interview at their office. But the day before, the recruiter asked to reschedule for the next week and if I could do a written assignment instead. They ended up canceling the in-person interview altogether and wanted me to do a bunch of free work before even considering an in-person meeting because of a 'change in process.' So I did the assignment, which took over 6 hours, and sent it in. Never heard back from Spartan Race, even after waiting a few weeks and following up by email and LinkedIn. Really unprofessional.

It was a phone interview, pretty casual and friendly. We talked about my work history, asked some questions about me, and checked if I'd be a good cultural fit. They also wanted to see if I'm the type of person who can be productive working remotely.
