Technical Other

I went through 4 rounds of interviews which took a couple of months. The interviews themselves were not too hard and the people were nice. At the end, I had to do a challenging aptitude test with general knowledge questions like math and pattern recognition. It was unexpected as it wasn't directly related to the job.

They asked me about my past experiences with kids, and I also had to do a pre-assignment where I planned a curriculum for teaching young kids about filmmaking. They also tested my safeguarding knowledge by asking how I'd manage specific scenarios.

I applied for the Senior Event Coordinator position in Burlingame and was first contacted by a recruiter in Philly in May. I made sure to emphasize that I'm on the East Coast but willing to move to San Francisco if I got the job. After the initial phone interview went well, I got an online assessment a few days later. The following week, I was supposed to have another phone interview with a Director in Burlingame, but we had to reschedule it to early June due to busy schedules. That interview also went well, and they asked me to come to Philly for an in-person interview with some people at HQ to see if I'd be a good fit for the role and company, even though the job was in SF. The process felt a bit disorganized at this point because they were really open to me coming in, but didn't set any dates, which made me think they weren't interviewing many people. We finally set the in-person interview for June 15th after some back and forth. When I got to Philly, I met with an Account Director and the VP of Events. The interview was mostly just talking, focusing on why I wanted to move to San Francisco. They seemed interested, and the recruiter said I'd hear back within a week about the next steps. So, after sending a thank you note and two follow-up emails in July, and now it's August, I still haven't heard anything back about whether they found someone else or hired internally. It's frustrating because Sparks didn't even bother to let me know.

it was a smooth interview process. they asked normal and standard interview questions. the interviewer was nice and friendly. due to covid, it was not a face to face interview, it was a Tams interview instead. it was about one and a half hour long interview, with two rounds in total. First, the HR head, second, the team head.
