The first interview was basically a "getting to know me" chat, starting with "so tell me about yourself." The HR person was super friendly and it was a really relaxed conversation. They asked a straightforward math question: what's 20% of 400? I nailed that one. The interviewer also gave me a heads-up on what the next steps would be. For the second interview, I was supposed to talk to someone from a brand MediaVest partners with. I did my homework on the brand and their connection to MediaVest. But when the interview call came, the person I was supposed to speak with was out, so someone else, who was clearly caught off guard and unfamiliar with my resume, ended up interviewing me over the phone. They talked really fast and then threw a question at me, and I felt totally unprepared, struggling to answer on the spot. I wanted to ask them to slow down or repeat themselves, but I just pretended I understood to avoid seeming rude. The main thing they wanted to know was my specific goals as an intern at MediaVest, and I didn't have a clear answer, which I think really hurt my chances. At the end, they didn't even know when I'd hear back. A few weeks later, the first HR guy called to say I didn't get the job, but encouraged me that making it to the second round was an achievement and to reapply after graduating.

The process was pretty straightforward. Most questions were behavioral, asking about my college and previous internship experiences. It was during a time of internal name changes and merging, but it felt fairly organized considering the large intern classes. I was a bit surprised by an easy math question they threw in.

I had two phone interviews for the role, and they were both pretty standard. They mainly asked me about my previous experience and threw in a simple math question. The first interview was with someone from HR, and the second one was with the person I'd be reporting to.
