First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SPAN.
Engineer
I interviewed with SPAN, who used Zinnov for recruitment in India. Zinnov's communication was really bad, and they asked unprofessional questions not related to the job, even asking for referrals. At SPAN, interviewers were late for most rounds. A senior SPAN leader in India had terrible listening skills and kept cutting me off. After the interviews, they ghosted me. It was a huge energy drain, and I won't interview or recommend anyone to them.
- How would you implement SPAN's entire operations if tasked with it?
React.js Frontend Developer
I really enjoyed the frontend interview process and felt it gave me a strong opportunity to demonstrate my skills. I was able to showcase my knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and CSS, while also applying best practices in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. I particularly appreciated the problem-solving portion, where I could explain my thought process clearly and highlight how I approach building scalable and accessible interfaces.
- Can you explain what a HOC is in React.js?
Product Manager/Business Analyst
The interview process was really good from start to finish. It was clear and there weren't too many rounds, which I appreciated because it felt efficient and like they respected my time. They communicated well and were transparent. The interviewers talked about things that mattered for the role and gave me useful info about the job and company culture. I thought they were professional but also friendly.
- What is the most important aspect of a company for you?
Technical Recruiter
I first chatted with the Sr. Recruiter and then spoke with the Lead Recruiter. Both conversations were really great and informative. They really took the time to explain the job, what it's like to work here, and the company's goals. We had a good Q&A session too, and I felt really good about the role, the team, and the company afterward. I was looking forward to the next steps. I'd love to join Span! But, things came up in my personal life, and I had to back out after the interviews. I let the team know what was going on, and they were super nice and understanding about it, and they said the door's still open. Big thanks to the recruiting team for making the interview process at Span such a positive experience. I definitely recommend this company!
- Can you discuss your approach to recruiting and sourcing strategies?
