The interview process was very intense, with a lot of drilling on various EE topics. They asked many follow-up questions based on my answers. I'm still waiting to hear back. The topics covered included filter design, MOSFET basics, embedded systems, and more.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, and I sent my resume. Then, another recruiter emailed me about mechanical engineering roles that were below my senior electrical engineer level. She said the first recruiter thought I'd be good for Starshield due to my DoD background, but she kept sending me irrelevant job posts and asked for my resume again. I reminded her I'd already sent it twice and mentioned on the phone I wasn't actively looking. She sent another link to apply directly, even though they'd collected my resume multiple times through different channels. My application was rejected, which was odd since I'd used the same application two years ago and been accepted, though I later withdrew during the first phone screen. Overall, the process felt disorganized and unprofessional, similar to my experience two years ago. They seem to want specific aerospace industry backgrounds but struggle with basic organization. I questioned why I'd leave my current stable DoD job for overwork with Elon Musk on a government-funded project, especially when other DoD contractors are doing similar work more professionally.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you share some basic phone screen questions related to your resume?
  • What are some conceptual technical questions related to the job posting?
