Behavioral Technical Presentation

My experience with Southwest Advantage’s recruitment process was pretty structured and clear. It had 4 stages. The first three stages were about checking my basic skills and if I was a good fit for the job, including a phone screening, online tests, and an interview with a middle manager. The last, fourth stage was with a senior manager, mainly to check my communication and sales skills. Like, he gave me the classic task of “how would you sell a pen,” which let me show creativity, how I persuade, and adjust my approach to what the client needs. The recruitment experience was good: the team was professional, they explained all stages clearly, and the tasks let me really show my strengths. At the same time, the last interview was a real challenge, letting us check not just professional skills but also the candidate’s communication potential. Overall, the process helped us see that the company values initiative, creativity, and persuasion, not just formal skills.

Behavioral Presentation

You have to go through three interviews to be selected for this program. The first one is to get to know you and your aspirations in life, just to see if you'll be a good fit. The second interview is to review your previous successes and why you're interested in this program. The third interview gives a quick overview of your typical day and checks your emotional readiness for this challenging and adventurous experience. This last interview is also where you get chosen for the team if you make it.

Don't be fooled by the easy-going interview! I ended up spending $2000 to travel to a remote location for door-to-door sales to uninterested people. Communicating with my manager was almost impossible. More than half the interns quit too. It's not worth it! It felt like joining a cult. I'm still recovering from this traumatic internship. You've been warned.
