Intern
I was a freshman at Baylor University when an upperclassman came into my polisci class and announced "If you want to learn a lot, grow a lot and make some money fill out this survey for a summer internship." I didn't know then that by filling out this survey I was taking the first step in a life of continuous growth. A few weeks later, I got a call to discuss the internship. Sitting in that room in the Baylor Science Building and hearing about all that was offered, I knew that this was the right opportunity for me.
- What value would you bring to the Baylor Team?
Intern
The whole thing took 3 days. Day one was just chatting to get to know each other and get more details on the internship. Then at the end of day one, they gave me an assignment to call past interns and hear about their experiences. Day 2 involved answering more questions about myself and sharing what I learned from those calls. I also had another task where I had to list 25 reasons for wanting the internship and explain what some words meant to me, like commitment and confidence.
- What makes you confident you'll do well in this program?
Intern
You meet with a student manager for three interviews. If you are selected, they inform you on the day you are selected. You are asked different interview questions and shown different parts of the company. It is a combination of them educating you about the company while also interviewing you. Little time between each individual interview.
- What do you hope to gain from this internship?
