Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Southwest Transplant Alliance.
Organ Recovery Coordinator
It was a 2 person panel interview. They were easy to talk to and answered all my questions. It wasn't rushed at all. I wore business casual and they were punctual, just like I was. No offer was made during the interview, but they said they'd reach out by a specific date.
- Can you share a time you demonstrated leadership?
Hospital Services Coordinator
I applied in January 2021 and got a callback from HR at the end of February. About a week later, I had a phone interview with her. She mentioned she'd pass my info to the hiring manager and would be in touch about next steps, saying, “We plan to do the next round of interviews next week. If you have any questions reach out to me via email or phone.” A few days passed with no word, so I emailed, but got no response. A few days after that, I called and left a voicemail but didn't get a callback. The company seems like a good place to work with good benefits and growth opportunities, but the hiring process wasn't great.
- What is something your current or previous coworkers would say annoys them about you or your work?
Tissue Recovery Technician
So I went through 3 rounds of interviews for the Tissue Recovery Technician role. First it was with a recruiter, then my supervisor, and finally upper management. After the last interview, they told me I'd hear back. It's been months now, and the recruiters haven't responded to the two emails I sent. It's confusing and really unprofessional how they ghost candidates, especially since they seem like a great company with good benefits and important work.
- What would you do in certain situations?
Laboratory Technologist
They set up a Microsoft Teams interview via email and then wanted me to send over my transcript. The interview and questions were pretty standard. The people seemed nice, though a bit disorganized. Just a heads-up, they don't contact candidates who don't get the job, so if you don't hear back within about a week, keep looking because you probably won't get an offer.
- What would your manager say about you?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to work quickly and prioritize tasks.
