Software Developer
The hiring process was pretty good, but it took about two months from start to finish. I applied after talking to someone at a career fair and got a call for an initial phone screen with the manager. The phone screen was really easy and the manager was super nice. He said he liked our chat and that HR would reach out to schedule an onsite. HR emailed me two days later and we set a date for a week out. Luckily, I followed up because five days later, HR still hadn't put my interview on the manager's calendar, so we had to push it back another week. The actual interview went well. Usually, you talk to HR first about benefits and stuff for about 30-45 minutes, then meet the hiring manager. But because of a meeting conflict, I met the Manager and two of his Senior Analysts and Developers first. They asked some of the same questions from the phone call again, probably so the rest of the team could hear. The rest of the questions were about my previous experience or education from my resume. The team was really welcoming and made it feel more like a conversation than an interrogation, which made it a lot easier.

Recruiting Coordinator
The process started with a recruiter call followed by two more interviews. The first of these included the Hiring Manager and some HR folks. The final interview included the VP of HR and an HR Operations Manager. It all took about two weeks, and then we got the final decision (they took down the position) after 3 months.
- What makes you want to work for SPP?
Information Technology
I talked to three IT managers/executives. We discussed my character traits, programming experience, and how I'd fit in personality-wise and on the team. The meetings were at the company's main office. I heard back a week later in December. It was a really nice experience overall.
- Are you more of a generalist or a specialist?
Programmer Analyst
After applying, they email you with dates and times you can select for the first interview. I was told they do more than one interview per applicant, and I read on glassdoor.com that there are multiple interviews.
- Can you describe a time when you went above and beyond or improved something for others?
