I was in a waiting room with 8 to 10 people, and then 4 to 6 more people joined us. A group of 14 to 16 people left, presumably after their interviews. I spoke with the location manager, who recently moved from the Boston area. He explained that the job involves door-to-door sales of office supplies. The interview included a role-play where I had to sell office supplies to an office manager. He then asked if I was interested, and I enthusiastically responded, 'are you kidding me?'

I first put in my application for the position on careerbuilder and then received a call from the HR director Amanda to come in for a first round interview. I came in, filled out a quick form and was soon sent back to meet with the Manager, Connor. He gave me a detailed description of the position and what exactly was expected out of me. I was also told the extent of the rest of the interview process which was a full shadowing of a top rep and then a final interview.

I set up an appointment with Amanda and went for my first interview. After I got there, I filled out a quick application and then waited for the manager. He called me back, and we sat down. He explained what his company does and the exact role I would play. I told him I had no prior sales experience, and he said that was fine because they would teach me everything. I was interested in a second round interview, but they never called me.

I applied online and got a call from HR the next day. Then, I had an interview with the president, Connor. He asked if I had researched the company, and although I had, I still had a few questions. He explained the position fully and then asked me some questions about why I would be a good fit. The interview was comfortable. I had a couple of other interviews that day, but my experience at Southside stood out, so I was excited for the second interview the next day. The second interview was a chance to see what a normal day in the position is like. I went out with one of their top account managers and had a great time. Since I am not an office/cubicle kind of person, this was perfect for me! I'm eager to start and join this growing company!
