Behavioral Group Technical

It was a 3 round interview process. The first round was a behavioral interview. The second round was a digital group interview. The third round was a behavioral/technical interview with the team managers for the program I applied to. The overall vibe was pretty lax, but they were not very communicative and let me know about each interview the night before.

Behavioral Group Presentation

The first day kicked off with an orientation, getting us acquainted with the various departments seeking talent. Later that evening, we had dinner on the top floor of the Alabama Power headquarters. The seating arrangement alternated between candidates and employees, encouraging conversations. Day two involved panel interviews. An HR rep moderated, with about eight employees present. It was a situational interview, and at the conclusion, the other employees were given the floor to ask questions.

Behavioral Technical Coding Group

So, first you have a phone screen with HR, then a technical phone screen with the manager or supervisor. The last part is a panel interview where they ask about 2-3 soft skills or problem solving questions and about 1/3 technical questions. They also ask for pseudocode on a whiteboard. Panel interviews are pretty standard for most roles here. After you accept the offer, the background check can really drag on, sometimes for weeks, and it can be super intense, almost like federal clearance depending on the job.

  • Can you share an example of a time you had a disagreement with a coworker and how you handled it?
