First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Southeastern Virginia Training Center.
Administrative Role
A panel of three was taking notes on everything I said. It felt a bit awkward without much back-and-forth. The panel members themselves were very professional, pleasant, and nice. I didn't like that there was no feedback after the interview. I was told the HR person would let me know the outcome in a few weeks, but there was no follow-up at all.
- Could you tell me about the usual questions?
Supervisor
It took about two months for them to get back to me after I applied. Then, I had an interview with a panel of three women.
- The interview was with a panel, and they were all writing notes, which made it hard to keep talking because they'd just jump to the next question.
Direct Support Specialist
First, I had a screening, and after that was approved, I was sent to my interview. Two employees interviewed me and asked questions about my previous experience and about different scenarios. They made me feel very comfortable.
- Can you explain three reasons why an individual in a wheelchair might need to be repositioned?
