I highly advise potential candidates to stay away from South University in Orlando, FL. I am surprised they are still in operation, and believe they should be fully investigated. This institution has demonstrated unethical business practices during the hiring process, which raises serious red flags. Throughout my interview experience, I encountered unprofessional and inappropriate questions about my personal life, including my marital status, nationality, religious beliefs, and language preferences. This is a clear violation of basic interview etiquette and ethical standards. What was supposed to be a straightforward interview process turned into a six-interview ordeal, with no clear communication about the position’s salary. Despite being led to believe they were familiar with the position, it became clear that the institution had no intention of disclosing crucial compensation details. Please do yourselves a favor and consider other institutions. South University does not uphold ethical standards, and you deserve better than to waste your time with an organization that cannot even provide transparency regarding salary or respect basic rights during the interview process. Say it loud and strong: Stay far away from South University in Orlando.

They started by getting to know me personally to break the ice. Then they asked about my past performance as an Admissions Representative and academic advisor, specifically how I presented to prospective students, attended college fairs, and generated interest in the institution. They also wanted to know if I assisted with the admissions process and answered questions from students and families, and what my outreach approach was.

SU has a two-part interview process. It starts with a 5–10 minute screener over video. I've been invited to the second interview but haven't had it yet. The first screening was a good experience with the Director of Admissions. He was personable, asked relevant questions, and let me ask questions too. Excited for the second part!

The first part of the interview process was a phone interview which was pretty easy and the interviewer was really nice, friendly, and helpful. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview. I thought it would be a panel or group interview, but it was just me and the manager I would be working for. I was happy about that because it was less stressful. We talked a lot about the job and went through interview questions. Near the end, we ended up just chatting about gardening and other shared hobbies! It was probably the most enjoyable and relaxed interview I've had, a really great experience.
