Unit Coordinator
I applied online and HR reached out. Then, HR sent me an email for an on-site interview with the hiring manager. This all happened within about 10 days of applying. The hiring manager said she'd let me know, but I never heard back from anyone. It seems like ghosting candidates is pretty common now.
- Can you explain why you are interested in this role and our company?
- Could you please introduce yourself and walk us through your background?
Identity Access Management Analyst
The interview process was okay. The initial recruiter call was pleasant, but then interviews with the Executive Director and Managers felt intimidating. There were also some assessments that were a little difficult. The biggest letdown was the lack of follow-up promised by the recruiter. After multiple interviews and tough testing, with a promised follow-up, they ghost you and stop communicating even when things seemed to be going well. It's really disappointing and unprofessional. I get not getting back to everyone, but those who go through several steps and are just waiting for a decision or a third interview should get the promised follow-up. I wouldn't apply again if this is how they treat candidates.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
Certified Nursing Assistant
I was contacted by a HR rep and set up an interview for the next week. I first spoke with the HR rep and then interviewed with the Nurse Manager of the department. The interview went well, she asked me a few questions about my work experience and education. After the interview I was emailed from the HR department to fill out a list of references in which they emailed the references I gave them and asked them to fill out a questionnaire. It is important to contact these references and make sure they submit the questionnaire as soon as possible because this determines how quickly you will be hired.
- Can you describe a time when you had to complete a group assignment by yourself because other group members weren't doing their part, and how you managed that situation?
Acupuncturist
I applied online through a hospital job ad on Simply Hired or Indeed about a month ago. An HR assistant reached out via email, and after some discussion, I had an in-person interview with the HR director. She spoke quickly and seemed busy and tired. Afterwards, I waited in reception to be taken to the second interview by an assistant. She escorted me to the Rehab Dept. on a different floor. I realized it wasn't a good fit, but I went through with it. The HR interview revealed they didn't have an immediate opening but were trying to recruit an M.D. for a Director role, which would require another interview with the new director once hired.
- The Rehab Dept. Manager, a physical therapist, interviewed me. We entered the room and she gestured for me to pick a chair at the round table against the wall. I chose the middle chair, and she smiled and sat next to me. This was a test.
