The team interviewing did not seem to understand what the job was, or how it would be run. It was clear based on their conversation during the meeting, neither would be in the program and had to clarify with each other what would be required in the position.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process with SPSCC started off slow, with an invitation to interview via video coming two months after I applied. I accepted the interview invitation the next week. A few days later, I was asked to prepare a 15-minute presentation on an Accounting topic. During the presentation, the hiring committee cut me off after only 5 minutes, making the process feel rushed and disorganized. I was then invited for an on-campus interview, with the college only covering part of my travel expenses. The on-campus interview required another presentation. After waiting for a hiring decision, I was eventually offered a single class for the Fall, which felt like a bait and switch. I ended up accepting a full-time position at a different university.

First I had to send in a cover letter and resume via email. After they confirmed they got it and invited me for an interview, I went in for a short in-person meeting on site. We talked about my past job experience, qualifications, and skills. They also looked at my student performance and enrollment because it's a work-study thing. About a week and a half after the interview, they gave me a job offer.
