Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at South Pole.
Associate Consultant
Had 2 interviews and a technical test that was timed for one hour. The answers were about topics related to climate change and carbon markets, which is the company's key area. Also, the interviews were one hour long with people from the team.
- Technical information about climate change and carbon markets
Associate Consultant
The process was quite effective: a week after applying, they contacted me for a call with HR. Two weeks later, they contacted me for a technical test (on GHG accounting), and two weeks after that, they contacted me again for an interview with the line manager and the country director. The HR contact was very friendly, as were the team members in the interview. The test was challenging but completable within the 2 hours they provided.
- Why do you enjoy working with GHG inventories?
Associate Consultant
The interview process was quick and to the point. There were two interviews. One with HR, and one with the users - more technical related questions. Received notice within 1-2 weeks since application. Arrangement was fast.

- Tell me about your relevant experiences.
- Can you do a simple market sizing question?
