The interview process went well. They asked a lot of questions about OOP and also front-end Angular. The questions were typical ones you find online for interviews. It was a good experience.

We had a Teams call interview. It was collaborative and management was involved. They asked about my past experiences and what I expect for the position. They really focused on conflict management and how I work through difficult situations.

The interview process took FOREVER. I was called in for an interview, and I thought it went well. It was a group interview with about 20 applicants, and the county director and a supervisor were presenting. They discussed the mission of DSS, their expectations, and job duties. At the end of the group interview, we were called in one by one for a brief discussion about why we wanted to work there and our first department choice. We were told there would be a second round of interviews if chosen, and we'd hear back by the end of the week. About three weeks went by with no word, so I figured I didn't get the job. Then HR called to see if I was still interested and if I could come in to fill out paperwork. I went in the next day, filled out the paperwork, and was told I needed a background check, which should take about 10 days. After that, they'd let me know my start date. I got the background check the next day, and after 10, then 12, then 14 days passed, I started worrying and calling for updates, but no one called back. I decided to try one last time, and someone finally answered! I was told my start date, which was about a week and a half away. I wanted to give my current job two weeks' notice, but they said I could push the start date back, which would mean waiting almost another month since they only do start dates on the 2nd or 17th of the month. So, I started on the original date and gave my current job a week and a half notice.

I had a group interview that started at 10 am and went for about 2 hours. They went over the job duties, the mission, and the salary, mentioning that 3 people out of the 12 of us would be hired. We were told to return around 1 pm if we were still interested. About 9 of us came back, and then we were interviewed individually.
