First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sorenson Impact.
Finance Associate
There were at least three rounds of interviews. Since I was applying for a role on the impact finance team, I was asked to come prepared to show a financial model I had created. The final interview included questions designed to see how I approached problems I didn't immediately know the answer to. Everyone was very friendly throughout the process.

Intern
There was one round of interview, that included a couple of candidates that were finally selected in the end and paired for manager. Questions related to the job, potential in the role and outcome that I wish to have.
- Could you share a project you worked on that relates to our work and discuss what you learned from it that could be applicable to our team?
Investor Relations
I applied online and HR reached out for a screening. Then I was supposed to interview with the hiring manager, but they missed it and we had to reschedule, which HR helped with.
- What would you say are your strengths?
- And what about your weaknesses?
- Can you tell me about your understanding of stocks?
Analyst
After submitting your resume and cover letter, you'll write an investment memo based on a case study. If you pass that, you'll need to explain your memo and assumptions, and also discuss impact investing.
- Regarding the case study, what were your thoughts on potential exit opportunities?
- Can you walk me through your memo and the assumptions you made?
- What is your understanding of impact investing?
