First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Soren Inc..
Advertising Specialist
I thought I was going to meet the main boss, but it turned out to be his assistant. Everyone was nice though. I got invited back for another interview, and then I was surprised 'cause like 5-6 other people showed up at the same time, and the head guy talked to all of us. The job posting said there was a base salary plus commission, plus benefits, but after I learned more about the company, it seemed like it was actually commission-only. It's door-to-door, live cold-calling sales, at least at the start. They do train you, which is good, but the job title and what they said was misleading.
- What's your reputation among your peers?
Marketing Manager
The interview process involves two rounds. The first is a one-on-one with an assistant manager where they'll ask about leadership and management. I had my interview in the morning and received a call in the afternoon to schedule the second interview. The second interview is a group session with everyone invited back and Steve, where they'll discuss the company, career progression, and compensation. If you get a callback after this, it means you've made it.
- How would you handle an employee who has been underperforming?
- What steps would you take if an employee is exceeding expectations?
- What qualities are you seeking in a prospective employer?
Account Executive
Got a phone call pretty quickly after I applied. The interview process was pretty smooth. I got lost trying to find the building but they made it clear I could call them for help so I did. Everyone was super friendly and put my nerves at ease while waiting for my interview.
- How would you market or sell ping pong balls if the game of ping pong no longer existed?
Account Manager
The interview process was pretty simple. I met with the manager Steve, who explained the company very well and was very nice. He told me they would call back if interested in having me back at 5 that day.
- Can you tell me about your personality and leadership skills?
- Could you share specific examples of past leadership experiences?
