First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sony/ATV.
A&R Creative Assistant
The whole process took about 3 weeks. It included two in-person interviews. First, I talked with my two future bosses about my experience and skills. Then, I met with them again, and also with other assistants, to see if our personalities clicked since I'd be working with them. After that, I had a two-week trial period before being officially hired.
- Can you walk us through your previous work experience?
- Which artists are you currently enjoying?
- What abilities do you possess that would benefit our team?
Licensing Assistant
I had an interview with 3 men. Two were behind their desks, and one was on a chair in the corner. It was hard to talk to all of them because they were in different spots in a big room. It felt unprofessional and made it tough to connect with everyone.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
- Could you provide more details about your past employment experiences?
Intern
after applying and calling in with questions, I was emailed to schedule an interview time. The interview itself was relaxed and easy going. I really enjoyed the conversation and learned a lot about the company's values and what its like to work there asking questions afterwards.
- Can you tell us why you are interested in Sony ATV?
- How has your previous employment position prepared you to work at Sony ATV?
Coordinator
I applied online and had interviews with three women from the department. They were all very nice and open about everything, making it feel more like a chat than a formal interview. We mainly discussed the job and what it needs, plus my background in the industry.
- Can you describe your level of organization?
- In what ways has your prior work experience made you a good fit for this position?
