First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonitrol.
Outside Sales
For the initial visit, they don't conduct an interview. Instead, they require you to come in to complete an application, a psychological test, and a basic IQ assessment. Typically, companies conduct interviews first and then use software to administer these tests remotely.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Central Station Operator
First, the manager of the Central Station will review resumes and then schedule initial phone calls. During these calls, she and her manager will ask some questions to see if you're the right fit. The second round involves in-person interviews. Finally, there's a third round which is an observation period where you'll shadow an experienced operator to get a feel for the job.
- What would you do if a customer was angry?
- Is it okay for you to work weekends and holidays?
Sales
They asked me about my sales experience, how long I've been doing it, and if I'm looking for full-time or part-time work. Also, if I have my own car, if I have references, why I left my last job, if I'm okay with traveling, and what my salary expectations are.
- Are you willing to travel for this role?
Alarm Monitor
Sent my resume via fax and got a call back a few days later. Had the interview, and then a couple days after that, they called me to come in again, and I was offered the job.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
