First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonesta International Hotels.
Revenue Manager
I got contacted a few weeks after applying and then started the interview process. I used to work in hospitality and, after being laid off due to COVID, was eager to get back in the game. Sonesta is rapidly growing and I had previously worked for hotel companies that lost locations to Sonesta so I understood the markets and backend systems. Unfortunately, I was ghosted in the middle of the interview process. I reached out multiple times only to never receive a reply; I've actually never even received a "thank you for applying but we've selected someone else" type email. This is indicative of a poor culture so I'm happy I was able to secure a job with another firm.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
Sales Manager
The interview process was structured and moved along in a timely manner. They clearly laid out the job expectations, and the whole experience was quite smooth. The people I met were very friendly and asked relevant questions. There were 3 interviews in total: I first spoke with HR, then my direct report, and finally the hotel GM. It was all great.
- Can you tell me about the career path you are looking to follow?
Sales Manager
It was a smooth process, once you have applied they did a phone call and then two in person interviews. which took about 2 weeks in total. The managers that interviewed me were very kind and asked questions about experience, how would i handle certain situations.
