First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonalysts.
Human Factors Engineer
The interview process was pretty simple. I had an initial screen call, followed by a 30-minute panel interview with three different people. It was a bummer though, because after they said they'd follow up, they totally ghosted me.
- Can you introduce yourself?
Helpdesk Technician
The interview process was quick and everyone I met was pleasant. Although an offer was eventually made, I didn't accept it because the salary was significantly lower than what's typical for this kind of role in the market. They tried to emphasize the employee stock ownership and other benefits, but the base pay was just too low.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience in roles like this?
Technical Editor
It took about three weeks from when I applied to when they reached out to set up an interview. The interview itself was a back-to-back series of 5 one-on-one meetings, each lasting around 30 minutes. This structure means you might get some repeated information and questions across the interviews. One meeting was with an HR person who asked standard questions about my work history and why I'm a good fit. Two people currently in the role, my potential manager, and the senior vice president overseeing the department also interviewed me. The questions weren't unusually difficult or surprising. The senior vice president mostly spoke about the company and asked for my questions. Although I didn't get past this initial stage, they do perform a thorough background check.
- What questions do you have for me?
Graphic Designer
Had an initial screening with HR where I was asked to 'tell me about yourself.' Then I had an in-person interview a couple weeks later. It involved very basic questions about my experience, skills, the programs I know, and my salary expectations. I met with 4 different project leaders and the whole interview took about 2 hours.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What is your experience?
- What is your skill set?
