Marketing Executive
The interview process for the Marketing Executive role at Sona Dermatology and MedSpa kicked off with a quick phone screening. It was simple and professional, helping me get a grasp of the role's needs and share my experience. The recruiter was nice and got back to me fast, setting a good start. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with the marketing folks. The office looked great, really modern and nice, fitting for a place focused on looks and client care. I talked with a few people, including the Marketing Director, who clearly knew a lot and was enthusiastic about the field. The interview questions covered digital marketing and my knowledge of the dermatology and medspa market, focusing on practical situations and how I'd tackle company challenges. They seemed keen to understand my thinking and how I'd fit into their marketing plans. However, there seemed to be a bit of a gap between what they said during the interview and the actual job. They talked a lot about teamwork, but some comments suggested communication might be a bit separate between people. Questions about how the team works together weren't really delved into, leaving me unsure about working with other departments. The company culture seems to be all about top-notch service and making customers happy, which aligns with my values. Still, it felt like a high-pressure place where getting results is key, maybe more than employee happiness. Some interviewers were open about how tough the industry is, mentioning tight deadlines and always needing to adjust marketing approaches. I get that it's a fast-paced field, but it made me wonder about work-life balance, which is super important to me.
- Could you elaborate on your marketing experience and how it applies to the dermatology and medspa sector?
- Describe your process for creating a marketing strategy for a new service or treatment.
- How do you track and assess the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns?
Customer Service Representative
First, I was contacted by email. Then, I had an in-person interview at the clinic. The whole process took about two weeks. The interview itself wasn't too long, and the process was nice and informative. I felt pretty comfortable. They also gave me a tour of the clinic.
- What is your approach when dealing with a dissatisfied customer?
Licensed Vocational Nurse / Registered Nurse
After an initial phone screen, I had an in-person interview with the regional manager. Three interviewers asked me standard questions. They seemed really interested and asked about my notice period for my current job. They even gave me a tour and introduced me to the staff. I was told I'd hear back early the next week. I felt good about it. Two weeks later, I emailed to check in and they replied that they weren't done interviewing yet. It's now been over a month with no word, which I found unprofessional.
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
- What is your availability to start?
Aesthetician
The interview process had multiple steps, but they were fast to respond and schedule. The first two interviews were over the phone, and the third was in person with the center manager. The two women I spoke with, Alexandria and Cassidy, were lovely. Talking with them felt like a normal conversation. As someone new out of school worried about proving I can be trained and grow my skills, I never felt judged for my lack of experience. They actually mentioned that many companies, like Sona, prefer hiring aestheticians right out of school because it's easier to train them while they're still in the mindset of learning quickly and efficiently. Overall, it was a great experience.
