First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Somnigroup International.
Accountant
First, there was a phone call, then a zoom meeting, and finally an in-person interview. During the in-person part, I met with the team and a supervisor, and I also had to take an Excel test. They were really clear about what they expected for the job.
- Were you able to use pivot tables or vlookup in excel?

Payroll and Expenses Administrator
So I had a pretty normal interview process, first a stage through Teams and then face to face. The only issue was that my time was completely wasted because they hadn't finalized the job terms, so I felt like I was being strung along, which was a waste of my energy, time, and resources. I applied for a temporary full-time job. After getting rejected, I was told a decision would be made after they saw another applicant the following week. That didn't happen, and the job was then reposted as a part-time position.
- They basically asked me if this should be a full-time job.
Treasury Manager
Started with a call with the recruiter, then spoke with HR. After a bit of a wait, I was invited for an on-site interview. They offered one date and time slot that same week, which I couldn't make. They then provided a few more nearby dates, and after that, I heard absolutely nothing back. It was quite odd to be considered interesting enough for an on-site visit but then only get a single 1-2 hour window 3 days away, followed by complete silence.
- Can you give me a general overview of your background?
- Could you provide some details about the position and the company?
Project Manager
I had to wait a really long time for this interview process to start. Once it did, I met with several staff members who asked good questions and were respectful. The final meeting was with a VP who really challenged my opinions about 6Sigma and a specific project I mentioned. She acted like an expert but didn't seem to have the skills to really understand problems or opportunities, and we couldn't have a good conversation. After all that, I had to wait three months to get my travel expenses back.
- We discussed standard project-based methodologies.
- Tell me, what would you do if... (situational question)?
- How do you see the value of 6Sigma?
