Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SomiSomi.
Team Member
The interview was really unprofessional and combative, especially about my retail background. They sent an email with a typo and the wrong date. Then, the interviewer just ended the interview early because I mentioned I couldn't work closing shifts but could do all other shifts. If working closing is a must, they should just state that upfront so people know. Honestly, this place seems to have a bad reputation, and I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a job where candidates are treated better.
- What's your intended length of employment with us?
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?

They will schedule you for an on-site interview. It's a conversation where the interviewer may try to make a personal connection to gauge your communication and interpersonal skills. They will confirm your working schedule, go over training, watch a training video, and teach you a lot of things. You'll also complete paperwork. The process is very friendly and patient.
- Can you tell us about your related experience?
- Are you open to learning new things?
Team Member
You'll be given a time and usually head to the store for the interview. Once there, you'll meet the interviewer and start with some questions. It wraps up when you ask any questions you might have. After that, they'll let you know if you can expect to hear back within a certain time, or you'll just need to keep an eye out.
- Can you share a bit about yourself?
- Can you tell me about a time you felt proud of an accomplishment?
- What's an example of a time you faced a challenge and didn't succeed, and what did you learn from that experience?
