Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Somewhere.
Recruiter
The process starts with applications and screening where candidates submit their profiles. Recruiters look at experience, skills, and portfolios, then schedule interviews. After every assessment, feedback is given and good candidates go to the next stage. Hiring managers check qualifications, do reference checks, and pick the final candidate. Then they get an offer and start onboarding.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to fill a niche role and explain your strategy for finding candidates?
Recruiter
The interview process was very structured, straightforward, and organized, which allowed me to present myself in the best way possible for the job opportunity. They were clear about the role expectations and explained the application process step by step.
- Would you be open to working within the US time zone?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The first step is an initial interview with a Talent assessor. They will ask about your experiences and tell you about the Client. Next, there will be a Grammar and reading comprehension test (30 questions total, needing at least 24 to pass). If you pass that, you'll move to a Behavioral interview (about 15 mins, off cam). After that, maybe a few hours later, I got an email saying the client won't move forward with the application, with no specific reason given. They list a salary range in the posting but can't guarantee you'll get that amount. It's a long process and a waste of time.
- What's the reason for leaving your last job?
