This was a long hiring process for a senior role, but it lacked closure and communication. Pros: It offered exposure to architecture-level problem statements and enterprise use cases. The role scope was aligned with current industry needs like Snowflake, AWS, and data platform architecture. Cons: The interview process had multiple senior rounds that needed a lot of time and prep. It progressed to the final stages but was then put on hold without clear closure. There was a lack of proactive communication after I invested significant time. There was no clear timeline or transparency on the hiring decision or status.

I went through two rounds of interviews. The first was with two senior team members, and the second was with a big panel of about nine people. It was a professional and conversational interview process. They mainly asked behavioral and situational questions about how I manage stakeholders, deal with cross-team functionality, and gather requirements. There was also an exercise where I had to write features and stories for a scenario. Even though the interviews went well, I didn't get the job because they said I lacked tenure in large, complex systems and didn't provide enough detail to establish my experience. This feedback felt a bit generic though, as my resume and experience didn't really back that up.

I applied online, then got contacted by an AI assistant from Solventum to set up a phone screen. After the phone screen, the AI just scheduled another interview without me asking. I tried to change the time, but it got stuck in a loop, cancelling and then rescheduling. Since it was all through the AI, I couldn't reach out to anyone about the issue or what to do next. It eventually stopped glitching, so I just went to the interview at the time that was in the latest email from the AI. Luckily, it was the correct time. I got a generic rejection email because I wasn't chosen.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty standard and easy to follow. They were clear about everything, and it felt really organized. It gave me a good feel for what the company culture is like and what they're looking for in this job. I talked with the manager for a technical interview, and they asked me questions about how I'd dealt with specific situations before and also some technical stuff related to the job.
