First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Solutran.
Software Engineer
They asked me to pseudo code the fibonacci sequence using a pen and paper. The interviewers were pretty responsive to talking through the problem, although it was completely unrelated to the actual work. The entire hiring team was composed of white males.
- Can you explain how you would generate the fibonacci sequence?
Marketing Associate
Quick response to my application, which I hugely appreciated. Within a few days, I had a phone screening with HR, and then about a week later, I came in for an in-person interview. The interview seemed to go well, and the interviewer indicated they’d want to bring me in again. However, there has been silence ever since, despite several follow-up emails on my end. I got ghosted.
- What are your weaknesses?
Operations Analyst
The interview process included a phone screening, then a first round with an HR manager and recruiter, followed by a final interview with management. The people were very pleasant, though talking with upper management can be a bit intimidating.
- Can you tell me what you know about Solutran?
- Describe a situation where you had to be detail-oriented.
- What personal qualities do you possess that would be valuable to the Solutran team?
SPIN Clerk
The interviewers were chill and seemed like they weren't trying to make it tough. I kinda wish I had studied up more though, cuz some simple questions threw me off.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
