Account Executive
I found this role and similar ones on LinkedIn and applied. Sometime in early August, a recruiter contacted me for a phone interview for this position. The first recruiter seemed uninterested and was rude. When I asked about other recruiters, they said they'd be my only point of contact. Because I felt the initial screening was unfair and rude, I reached out to a different recruiter who was more friendly. This second recruiter explained that the initial screening is just to gauge the applicant pool, and they would contact me in September if they thought I was a good fit. At the end of August, I got an email for an in-person interview. But after I emailed them my availability, I never heard back. So, I didn't proceed with further interviews and decided not to continue with this opportunity.

Account Executive
It was really straightforward. Everyone was friendly and I felt heard. I got to ask questions, which they seemed to appreciate. I thought I'd be meeting more people but it ended up being just two: the recruitment manager and her supervisor.
- What's your reason for seeking a new opportunity?
Account Executive
They didn't give me much info about the company itself, but they did ask about my previous work history and what I liked and disliked about past roles. They also asked about my former managers and what they would say about me. I've seen them a lot on TikTok, and it seems they focus heavily on recruiting other Account Executives. For me, I'm not really a recruiter or a salesperson, which is pretty much what this job is. I asked the recruiter on the phone about metrics, and she said there weren't any, but there's always work to be done (major side-eye). Then, during the interview, they mentioned a quota of 60 calls per day and 15 connections. I'll pass on that. The pay is better than average for a college grad just starting out. I'm not sure about the benefits, but I assume they're good too. I can't imagine working in a high-pressure place like Soliant.
- Tell me about your childhood.
