Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Solera.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I went through the interview process with the company. I first spoke with the recruiter and then the team manager. The interview with the manager was pretty bad, her attitude made it super awkward. I never got any feedback after that interview. It made me wonder how they treat people in other departments if this is how they treat TA. Later on, they reached out again for a similar role. I told the recruiter about my first experience, but then I got bad-mouthed again. It just gave me an even worse feeling about the whole process and the company's vibe. It's really important for companies to see how their actions during hiring affect how candidates see them and if they'll want to join. Being professional and respectful should be a given at all times.
- Can you describe the recruitment cycle?
- How do you approach the technical filtering of candidates?
- What are your thoughts on using social networks and job boards for recruitment?
Technical Recruiter
It was a really bad experience. The recruiting manager didn't seem happy at all. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. Before the actual interview, I had to do a really long online Q&A that took forever, like an hour and a half. Then there was an online game. Companies like Google, Amazon, and Facebook don't do weird stuff like Solera/R3PI. It was confusing. One hiring manager even asked if I liked working on Saturdays and Sundays! They did offer me the job with good pay, but I turned it down right away. I wouldn't work there for any amount of money and go through that again.
- I should study up on your company's 80/20 rule.
- What kind of positions did you recruit for?
- Given the high volume of resumes for one role, how would you handle that?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I'm very grateful for the opportunity Solera offered me in Seville. The interview process was quick, and I felt really comfortable throughout. Both Lucía and Charles were super friendly and attentive to me. I hope to work with them in the future!
