It was a really nice interview process, just be ready for some basic questions about your future and past. The interviewer was a super nice and funny guy, I had a great time. Thanks a lot. Sadly, I didn't make it to the next round.

I applied online a few months ago, around winter. I pretty much forgot about it. Then, about 3-4 months later, I got a call. First, I had a phone chat with a recruiter. After that, I went in for an in-person meeting with the recruiter, my potential mentor, and their manager. It was pretty basic and not stressful at all. They asked some simple questions about the PV silicon process and my coursework.

I applied for a Quality Engineer job at Solarworld in Camarillo, CA. They did a phone interview in Aug 09, but then cancelled the position. They reopened it in November and called me for an onsite interview. They verbally offered me the position but then cancelled the offer and hired someone local. They then interviewed me onsite for a different Quality Engineer position in Portland, OR in Feb 2010. During that interview, the interviewers kept asking the same questions but phrased differently and expected different answers.

SolarWorld Germany is setting up a new plant in Hillsboro, OR, and I had a well-planned interview process. HR called to set it up, and they were flexible. I was interviewed by about six people who asked about my resume and work experiences. We also talked about my career goals and why I want to work at SolarWorld. The interviewers seemed fair and genuinely interested in how I'd fit in. They were clear about the job and work environment, giving me a good vibe about the team. They agreed I had the skills, personality fit, and my motivations matched their goals. Personality fit is important for job satisfaction and a long-term career. I got an offer within days, negotiated it, and now I love my job at SolarWorld Hillsboro.
