Behavioral

I started with a Teams call with the hiring manager, then had a Teams interview with a panel of three people. They read behavioral questions from a list for over an hour and asked for answers in the STAR format. It felt uncomfortable with long pauses like the connection dropped, and it wasn't interactive at all.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you provide examples that fit the STAR method?

It was a while back, but first there was a phone screening with HR about my interest in the company and some mechanical engineering skills. Then, I had a 1-on-1 with an engineering manager, though some people might have a panel. It was all behavioral, going over my resume and past experiences. They asked some tough behavioral questions but didn't push too hard. The second half felt like they were just going through the motions. After that, I got the offer.

  • Can you share an instance where you rapidly applied a newly acquired skill?
  • Describe a situation where you needed assistance from others to achieve a goal.

Behavioral Presentation

First, there was a 30-minute phone chat with HR. Then, an onsite panel interview was held with the hiring manager for the role, along with three other managers. They asked behavioral questions, going around the table. After that, there was a plant tour (remember to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes; safety glasses will be provided). Finally, there was another 30-minute interview with HR, which was mostly for you to ask your questions.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Tell me about a time you completed a project with little oversight.
  • Can you share an instance where adhering to safety regulations proved beneficial in your work?
  • Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a coworker who was reluctant to fulfill their responsibilities.
