First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Solar Therapeutics.
Packaging Engineer
The interview process was a bit awkward but timely. There was a dog running around the facility, which was a bit of a red flag. They had me do a phone interview and then an in-person interview. Apparently, experience at a more successful company doing the same work wasn't enough. You can tell there's drama here, like in most dispensaries.
- How do you handle interpersonal conflicts and drama?
Corporate Minion
the interview process was ridiculous and inconsistent, showing how little they know about how to treat people. All their terrible company reviews are accurate and make sense looking back now.
- Are you able to work on weekends?
Technician
I went in, answered some questions, and then left. A few hours later, I got a call with an offer. The longest part of the whole thing was just waiting for my license to get approved.
- What makes you want to work in the cannabis industry?
Kitchen Assistant Manager
It was a 2-step interview process. First, I spoke with the Hiring Recruiter. She was friendly and assertive and gave a detailed explanation of the position. She offered a base pay that was lower than I wanted, but we reached an agreement based on the possibility of raises. The second interview was with the Kitchen Manager. He didn't seem happy to see me and immediately stated that I was told the wrong base pay and that it was even lower than what I was told, as that's what he started with. I did my best to de-escalate the situation, and by the end of the meeting, we seemed to be on the same page. After that, I never heard back via call or email. I sent an email to inquire about the status of my application, but I received no response.
