First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Solar Energy Partners.
Sales Representative
The first interview was a call, then a group Zoom meeting, and then finally one more call letting you know if you got the position. The group Zoom meeting is part of the interview and you are required to wear something nice (eg. a button-down) you must act professional and pay attention because they do ask you questions.
- What makes you want to work in the solar industry?
Sales Consultant
The interviewer was unprofessional and did not arrive on time for the phone interview. The position has no base pay and it is purely commission based. They do not respect your time, so save yourself the trouble and look for another job.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your sales experience?
- Do you have prior sales experience?
Solar Energy Consultant
First, we had a phone chat to see if we were a good fit. Then, a 1-hour Zoom call where they explained the job, like how to teach clients about solar energy and saving money. After reviewing manager and first interview notes, if you make the cut, there's a final phone call to sort out the start date and in-field training with your regional managers.
- What draws you to the solar energy field?
Intern
It was all behavioral, not many questions were asked. They were mostly talking about the company and their values. The overall process was pretty light and it wasn't 1 on 1.
- Why Solar Energy Partners?
- Why do you want to work in sales?
