Behavioral Presentation

It was a pretty straightforward, albeit lengthy (3-4 rounds), interview process. I first spoke with HR, then two team members, and finally the co-founder. It felt like a pretty standard interview overall. The team members were really upfront about the role, their expectations, and what they were looking for, which was great. The co-founder interview was a bit odd; they didn't seem super engaged with the conversation and appeared to be looking for someone mainly to manage the rotating entry-level staff. Like I said, a normal interview, but the company doesn't seem to be doing too well internally.

It was a pretty long interview process. First, I had a phone interview with three senior people, and each of them took a 30-minute slot consecutively. After that, there was an HR round. Then, I went through two technical rounds. The first technical round involved discussing the technical details of my past projects, and the second technical round focused on testing my knowledge of the tools I used in those projects.

I applied online and heard back from the hiring team the next day. We set up a phone screen for a few days later. After that, I was moved to the next round, which involved three 30-minute video chats. About a week later, I got a generic rejection email saying they were going in a different direction. I followed up and was told they were divided on letting me advance, but it was my call (what?). I chose to move on, and we scheduled another set of three 30-minute chats. In the second round, about 90% of the questions were repeats from the first round, and the interviewers seemed very uninterested and closed off. At the end, they said I'd hear back within two days. Two weeks later, I got a rejection. Throughout the process, I got the impression they weren't very organized, lacked experience, and weren't communicating well as a team. This, combined with negative Glassdoor reviews, really soured the experience.

I applied for the Social Media Community Associate role through the company's careers page. I received an email about scheduling a phone interview for the next day and replied with my availability. I didn't get a confirmation and had to send another email the morning of. The interviewer was about 20 minutes late for our scheduled time. Ultimately, they decided I didn't have enough experience for the position. It would have been helpful to ask for job duties beforehand as they weren't listed.
