It was a really nice interview, the team seemed great. They asked me some questions, checked my English level, and everything went well and felt pleasant. They also asked me to explain some code and some theory questions. I was applying for an intern-junior position.

Applied online, then there was a technical/English test (though I doubt it really matters). Then I had an English evaluation interview with someone from the company. After that, a technical interview with an expert/recruiter. This part was the real fun. Besides the recruiter girl, everyone else was super condescending and seemed annoyed they had to do the interview at all. They asked very few questions about the basic knowledge you'd expect for an academy position (stuff not even in the job post), mostly random, scattered questions.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain the difference between an interface and an abstract class in .NET?
  • Could you explain MVC?
  • What is caching?

Technical Coding

The technical assessment will cover core .NET concepts. You'll get questions on the basics of .NET, CLR, CLS, CTS, and the differences between .NET Core and .NET Framework. They'll also check your C# skills, covering OOP, exception handling, LINQ, generics, and async programming. You should know about .NET components like ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and Entity Framework. Web development knowledge for ASP.NET MVC or Core, RESTful APIs, and HTTP protocols is also tested. Finally, they'll look at your database skills with SQL Server, ORM tools like Entity Framework, and query optimization, plus your experience with testing and debugging using frameworks like NUnit and IDEs like Visual Studio.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain what the CLR is within the .NET framework and how it handles code execution? Also, differentiate between .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 5/6. What about the CTS, how does it help different .NET languages work together?
  • In C#, what distinguishes value types from reference types? Please give examples of each. How is async programming different from sync programming in C#, and why is async/await useful?
  • What are delegates and events in C#, and how are they employed to achieve specific tasks?
