First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SoftServe.
Senior Frontend Engineer
I started with an HR call. The next day, I had a technical interview with the project team. Then, I had another technical interview with a specialist outside the project team. Finally, I interviewed with the client's technical team.
- Can you explain what a Promise is and its working mechanism?
- What is React Fiber?
- Tell me about React Hooks.
Senior Frontend Developer
The interview started with simple js questions, like closures, hoisting, events, asynchornous, prototypes. Then we moved to questions related to react ecosystem - redux, sagas, react-router, react-query. In addition, we talked about state management in general, and how to handle states in a large app. Also covered third-party libraries like ag-grid, react-testing-library. And of course, typescript.
- Were there only theory questions, or did they also include specific React, Redux, and Saga questions?
Frontend Developer
The interview process was quite good, the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in assessing my actual skills by asking relevant questions. I found the whole experience encouraging, although I ended up declining the offer because the role didn't personally appeal to me once I learned more about it.
- Could you tell me about general frontend development topics?
