I had a Skype interview with management based in the US, though that probably won't be the case now since they've established themselves in Australia. I waited a few weeks to hear back. Then, I was referred to an employment agency because Softlayer didn't have HR in Australia at the time. So, I was technically employed by the agency for 3 months before Softlayer hired me directly.

The interview process was pretty relaxed. You'll check in at the front desk, and security will hold you until your contact arrives. You'll get a temporary badge and go on a brief tour, and they might offer you an energy drink. The interviews happen in conference rooms upstairs. Expect one or two interviewers. The questions are pretty standard, like those found in typical interview question lists. You'll have a chance to ask questions, and I'd recommend asking about salary and benefits since they don't cover that during the interview. Good luck!
