Behavioral Presentation Technical

It was a really long interview process. Started with an HR screen, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a case study presentation, and then five separate 1-on-1 interviews. It wasn't necessarily hard, but it was a lot. Everyone was super nice and seemed interested, though the idea was that each 1-on-1 would focus on a specific area like leadership, hard skills, or how you build relationships, but honestly, only one or two interviewers actually stuck to their assigned topic. The absolute worst part was after all of that effort, you get a generic rejection email that even had typos, and then the recruiter ghosts you, even though the email said they'd be happy to provide feedback. It's a terrible way to treat someone after they've spent about 8 hours talking with you, not to mention it makes it less likely they'd consider you for other roles later.

Sofi's interview process was pretty good overall. It started with a quick chat with a recruiter, then a screen with the team lead. The whole thing wrapped up in about two weeks.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had 1-2 initial chats that went really well with the hiring manager, then a portfolio review with the team. The final round of one-on-one interviews was scheduled but then abruptly canceled less than 24 hours before. The recruiter said they'd be rescheduled for the next week. But then, the next week, I was told the position was filled and no longer available. Really unhappy with the poor communication, disorganization, and lack of honesty. Felt like a total disrespect, and the hiring manager never even acknowledged it, let alone apologized, even though they were great before. Hope this was a fluke and not how SoFi treats everyone.
