It was a really chill interview process. First up was an online test with aptitude and coding questions. The aptitude part covered stuff like percentages, interest, number systems, profit/loss, ratios, time/speed/distance, and averages. For coding, there were two problems focusing on data structures, specifically trees and searching. I passed that and moved on. The next round was a technical interview. They started by asking me to introduce myself. Then, they grilled me on my resume, hitting Core Java, DBMS, and some easy coding questions to do on paper. I also had to dive deep into explaining my projects. There was even a quick French chat where I introduced myself, talked about my hobbies, and answered where I'd like to visit outside my hometown. After that, there was a managerial round. I introduced myself again and got asked about my family, if I could relocate, and about my projects. The last one was HR, mostly behavioral questions, which I tackled using the STAR method. All in all, it felt super friendly, engaging, and exciting – a great experience I won't forget!

For the Société Générale Securities Services branch, focusing on securities and funds, they generally prefer university graduates due to parent company policy, but will consider highly skilled individuals without degrees. The interview process involves three main steps. First, you apply on their website. Second, HR contacts you for a 30-minute remote introductory meeting with IT managers. Here, you'll discuss your past experiences and motivations, highlight a specific accomplishment from your last role (using the STAR method is recommended), and state your technical expectations from SGSS. If this goes well, you'll be invited for a 1-hour to 1.5-hour in-person meeting with Italian IT managers. This stage revisits your experience in more detail, and they appreciate your questions. There are no LeetCode-style technical tests, but expect questions about project management, chosen technologies and why, and potentially design patterns. Third, if successful, HR will contact you for a final interview to assess your cultural fit, which they emphasize is very different from toxic environments in large consulting firms.
