Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Société Générale.
Intern
The interview process had 4 rounds. The first round covered basic technical and behavioral questions. The second round was definitely a case study. The third round involved a one-on-one meeting with a senior team member, and the final round was with HR. Overall, it felt like a structured and fair process.
- Could you explain the concept of an equity bridge in the context of financial events?
- What are your thoughts on accounting principles and practices?
Intern
So first I sent in my resume, cover letter, and transcript. After that, they reached out and invited me to the first interview. Mostly they asked behavioral questions. Then I got invited to a second round. Still waiting to hear back about how I did on that second one.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Why are you interested in finance?
- What are your career aspirations?
Intern
Got the 1st interview request within few days of applying. These were just basic questions like describe your experiences, how do you handle teams, what should be key features of a developer, etc. The interviewer was quite cool & gave very positive feedback but don't know why didn't hear anything post it.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- How do you handle working in a team?
- What do you think are the most important qualities for a developer?
