Had a few talks, shared ideas, had a good discussion. Checked my motivation, and if I'd fit the culture and team. Confirmed I'm ready to relocate and work hard for a fast-paced, growing company. Finished with a panel presentation/role play.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was for a senior sales role and I got referred internally so things moved pretty fast. I have a solid track record of closing impressive deals and know people who can vouch for me. The whole process took about a couple of months. I met with about 4-5 people from management, senior management, talent, and technical teams. This gave me a good feel for the company culture and what it's like to work there. One meeting was in person, and the rest were via video. On the plus side, the team is really talented and they were really open about sharing challenges and asking how I could contribute with specific examples. They really encouraged a two-way conversation and made sure I had enough time for it. The downside for me was that even though I got positive feedback from everyone and they said they'd move me to the next stage, I got ghosted in the end with no feedback at all, which is a shame. I did see the same role advertised again later, which wasn't a great sign.

I was referred in for this role and then first contacted by an internal recruiter. After that, I was passed along to an outside recruiter. The next step was supposed to be a conversation with the VP, but I never heard back from them, which was pretty disappointing. In this market, it really makes me wonder if they're just trying to fill roles quickly. Maybe I'm wrong, but getting ghosted after being referred by a good rep makes me think they're disorganized. It felt like I dodged a bullet.
