There were 3 rounds in total. The first two were technical interviews, and the last one was a professional fit interview. The first interview covered theoretical machine learning concepts, specifically focusing on supervised learning. The second interview delved into my research experience, particularly my work with stochastic processes and time-series modeling. Finally, I had a casual conversation with the hiring manager.

The interview process took about 2 months and had 8 rounds. It included a recruiter call, a coding screen focusing on SQL and Python, two rounds on Data Science concepts (one on infrastructure which was easy), a panel interview (also easy), a stakeholder interview (easy), another recruiter call, and a final HM round. The coding questions were difficult.

A recruiter reached out, and I went through the initial interview round but unfortunately didn't make it past. It wasn't a great experience; I felt disconnected from the interviewer, who seemed bored, yawning and generally disengaged. They gave me a small coding challenge, which I didn't do well on. I felt these kinds of questions aren't really relevant to the actual job and don't really assess someone's ability to tackle business problems.
