I was contacted by email and we set up an initial interview on Microsoft Teams. The interview panel consisted of 2 people who are currently in the role and the hiring manager. The interview took about 45 minutes. I had interviewed with the hiring manager before for a similar role, and she remembered me.

First, I got a call from the work group administrator who wanted to check if I was qualified and chat about when I could start. Then, I scheduled an in-person interview. I met with the two hiring managers, a new employee from one of the work groups, and someone from outside those groups. They had a list of questions and took turns asking them, writing down my answers. They also asked me to figure out a math problem about how many kilowatt hours a light bulb uses in a year. The job description was really vague, just saying it was a summer job where I'd need to lift heavy stuff or type fast and accurately, so I didn't feel super ready for the interview, which made me a bit uneasy at first. But everyone there was really nice and understanding, so it wasn't too bad in the end!

This was a sudden phone interview. The hiring manager called me in the morning, but I missed it. I called him back and left a message. He called again in the afternoon and said I was selected for the phone interview pool and wanted to conduct a quick phone interview. It was unexpected for me, but I went ahead with it, and it included behavioral questions. I think I did pretty well, better than I expected, without any preparation.

I had an initial chat with the manager, who asked a lot of questions, and it went pretty well. Then, I was asked to come back for another interview with a group of people, and each of them asked me some questions.
