I interviewed with Snapshot in early 2024 and their team was very welcoming and engaging. They were open, honest, and showed they wanted me on their team. They were willing to work with me on timing and job description. I ended up getting offered a position, but decided on another role with another company. They portrayed themselves well. Most agencies do though so it's hard to know until you're in it, but they seemed better than most.

Applied online and got a call back the next day. First up was a phone screen with some employees. After that, I went into the office to meet more of the team. The office was nice and people were friendly. The second interview was good, but it felt a bit like an interrogation with a group firing questions at me. It's a bit jarring and not very personal, but I've been in similar situations. After the interview, I filled out an application and was told they'd be in touch. A couple days later, they called and asked me to do a design test. This is where things went wrong for me because I'm really against doing spec work, and asking for a design task that would take days to do well is too much for an interview. I'm okay with competency tests, but this felt excessive, so I withdrew my application.

Behavioral Other

After completing two interviews, I had a casual phone call where they expressed interest in offering me the role. However, they then asked probing questions about my current salary, prefacing it with 'I’m not calling you a liar but...'. Following this call, they requested nearly all my financial documents except pay stubs to verify my salary. As a woman in this field who has worked diligently, this felt offensive and disrespectful. I ultimately withdrew my application, feeling I had narrowly avoided a negative situation.

The person interviewing me, who I think was the production manager, was pretty chill. We just had a casual chat where he got to know me, and I learned about him, the company, and what the job would really entail. It seemed like a decent gig, but my gut told me something was off. Good thing I trusted that feeling. Apparently, this place is just a corporate grind, pumping out tons of not-so-great content.
